TEAM

Two Jamaican women. One powerful vision.

Àṣẹ is led by Jamaican founders with a shared conviction that hospitality can do more than accommodate, it can create the space to pause, reconnect, and restore.

Co-founder & CEO

Notoya Blackwood-Osayande

I'm a proud Jamaican, deeply rooted in culture and shaped by my own resilience. That foundation gave birth to Àṣẹ, a Yoruba word meaning spiritual life force and the power to make things happen which is a reflection of my journey of overcoming challenges and turning my adversity into opportunities. Professionally, I bring over 10 years of experience in financial reporting, automation, and process optimization. As a Certified Scrum Master pursuing my MBA in Business Analytics, I combine my expertise in Agile delivery, system implementations, data migration, and emerging technologies to drive strategic decision-making and deliver meaningful results. With my professional background, love for my country, and a firm belief that wellness should not be a routine but a lifestyle Àṣẹ is built to facilitate that lifestyle, even on vacation.

I am Àṣẹ and Àṣẹ is me.

Co-founder& COO

Tassie Rabon

Rooted in a deep passion for wellness and human connection, I believe that everyone deserves the space and time to reset, realign, and reconnect with themselves. With over 15 years of experience in hospitality, creating welcoming, thoughtful, and elevated experiences has always been at the heart of what I do. I naturally gravitate toward making people feel seen, comfortable, and cared for; something that now shapes every detail of the retreat experience we are building. There’s nothing quite like grounding yourself under the Caribbean sun, with the ocean breeze gently kissing your skin, to truly reconnect with your spirit. True wellness is about finding a sense of peace that radiates from within, the kind that makes you smile from the inside out.

At Àṣẹ, the intention is simple yet powerful: for every guest to arrive ready to release what no longer serves them and to leave feeling lighter, renewed, and deeply at peace.
